Ginger biscuits



      8 oz. S.R.flour                     1 level teaspoon ground ginger
      4 oz. hard margarine                4 oz. caster sugar
      1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda      2 good tablespoons golden syrup

      Grease baking trays. Set oven to 375 F or Mark 5. Rub fat into flour,
      grond ginger and bicarbonate of soda. Add sugar and warmed syrup. Mix
      well to a stiff consistency. Roll into balls the size of a walnut
      with floured hands. Place on trays with room to spread and flatten
      with a fork. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from trays while hot and
      place on cooling trays.
